NEW DATA DEAL SPEEDS FACT-FINDING
Making a good thing better, faster
Zaio recently signed an agreement with a large, well-known provider of national information to secure data for multiple markets across the U.S. As National Director, Appraiser Training and Operations Frank O’Neill, Jr. points out, “Our plan originally was to get information on a market-by-market basis from local assessors and data providers. Now, with this contract in place, we’ve got all of that information at once.”
This results in considerable cost savings and efficiencies for Zaio, because the consistent presentation of data from market to market will allow for a more streamlined process. “It’s something of a project to build the architecture that allows us to translate data from their platform to ours initially,” O’Neill says. “But, ultimately, this will save us a great deal of time and significantly enhance the quality of our information.”
O’Neill adds that once the architecture is built and as markets are rolled out, Zaio will be able to quickly match photography with the data. “One of the challenges we’ve had has been to speed up the process. Up to now, each source of data had a different set-up, and a different interface. The process will be much faster and less complicated as a result of our new business relationship.”
The photography process will be also be accelerated, as Zaio capitalizes on interest and momentum in the marketplace.
